Two Hats

       

      As a musician I was fortunate enough to grow and to learn different musical styles, and I met amazing musicians along the way. I grew up on rock & roll, evolved to jazz and at the same time started playing Mid Eastern percussion. I can say that I have two hats (or more). One is the drummer hat; the second is the percussionist hat. I can't say what my greatest passion is, playing drums or percussion. I love both dearly: to burn the drum sticks in a rock band, and to play tof miriam with its delicate finger technique. I love the acoustics of the oud, clarinet and qanun, and the electricity of a distorted guitar amp; a beautiful Mediterranean melody and a two chord song. I listen to a lot of music in different genres. what ever moves me.
